Glamping Fire Pit & Festoon
GLAMPING - FAQs
WHAT IS YOUR COVID CANCELLATION POLICY?

If lockdown restrictions, self isolation or illness prevent your booking from going ahead then we will refund you in full or offer you alternative dates if you prefer.

ARE YOU PET FRIENDLY?

Yes, we are a very pet friendly glamping site and we particularly love dogs! We allow up to two pets per unit although if you have more than this please call or email to discuss as we will always do our best to accommodate wherever possible. We do have chickens roaming free so we ask that any dogs who may be inclined to chase feathery things, be kept on a lead. Pets must not be left unattended in any accommodation. There is a small additional charge per pet.

IS THERE WIFI?

No, we do not have WIFI in the glampsite however there is a good 4G signal on most networks.

IS THERE DRINKING WATER?

Yes, there are fresh water taps in the glampsite kitchen, all the safari lodges and at various points around the paddocks.

WHAT ABOUT FIREPITS AND BBQS?

Every tent has it's own BBQ, a set of utensils and all the charcoal you will need for your stay included. There is a large communal fire pit pavilion in the glamping meadow for guests staying in our yurt and bell tents and our safari lodges each have their own fire pit. All the logs you will need are also included at no extra cost.

WILL WE GET OUR OWN TOILET AND SHOWER?

Our Safari Lodges have their own internal bathrooms with wash basin, toilet and power shower.

In the glamping meadow every one of our bell tents and the yurt has it's own private en-suite eco toilet cabin including hand wash basin. Showers in the meadow are shared.

DO WE NEED TO BRING CAMPING CHAIRS?

Every tent has its own six seater picnic bench and the safari lodges have additional bench seating but you are very welcome to bring extra chairs if you would like.

ARE BEDDING AND TOWELS INCLUDED?

Yes, all bedding and towels are included. You may however want to bring your own beach towel for the lake.

IS THERE HEATING IN THE TENTS?

The safari lodges have a gas heater which is very effective.

The bell tents and yurt do not have any heating however our duvets are cosy and we have a good supply of hot water bottles. We do recommend bring warm PJs to sleep in, in case it gets cold at night.

CAN WE SWIM IN THE LAKE?

Yes, you are very welcome to swim in the lake. We have a pedalo available for guests to use at no extra charge and guests may also bring their own kayaks, paddleboards, lilos etc.

CAN WE FISH IN THE LAKE?

No sorry, we do not allow fishing. We do however have fish food available if you would like to see the fish up close!

WHAT ABOUT GROUP BOOKINGS AND PARTIES?

We welcome group bookings and often hire the entire site out for events like weddings and birthday parties however you will need written permission from us to host a celebration of this sort. If you are planning a birthday party, a hen or stag weekend or other larger group get together then please contact us before booking online so we can offer you appropriate dates. We always try to match like minded groups to make sure that all our guests get the sort of experience they are looking for

CAN WE PLAY MUSIC?

We expect all guests to respect each other and the site is large enough that it is rare for one group to disturb another. Quiet to moderate volume music is permitted during the day and evenings as long as it is not disturbing or causing a nuisance to other guests. Unless you have booked the entire site we do ask that music be turned off by 11pm.

CAN WE PLAY SPORTS AND GAMES?

Absolutely, there is lots of space for football, rounders, cricket, badminton etc. We are also happy for guests to bring bikes and cycle - with care - around the site.

WHAT ABOUT PARKING?

We have a large car park situated very close to the glamping meadow where our bell tents and yurts are pitched. We do not allow guests in the meadow to drive right to their tent but the staff on duty will be more than happy to help carry your bags.

If you are staying in one of our Safari Lodges you are welcome to drive to the lodge to unload and then return your car to the car park afterwards.
